Wii 2 Coming In 2011?!?!

Sorry to break it to you but there wont be any successor to the Wii, until as Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime puts it, they sell more systems. Reggie announced in a recent interview with Kotaku that until they sell $45 million copies of the Wii, a Wii 2 wont happen.

 Later on in the interview they asked if it will be announced in 2011 and Reggie responded saying:

“As we sit here today we’re saying the Wii has many, many more units to sell. After we’ve reached an installed base of 45 million here in the U.S., we can have a conversation about the next generation. “ 

For all you die-hard Wii fans out there, if you want to see a Wii 2 anytime soon you know what to do. Open up your wallets and go on a Wii shopping spree.
